Overview
When you add a domain to Resend, you may see this error:The example.com domain has been registered already.
This means the domain is currently associated with a different Resend account. A domain can only be active on one Resend account at a time.
Why This Happens
Common reasons a domain may already be registered:- A team member or contractor added it to a separate account.
- You are logged into a different account than the one where the domain was originally added.
How to Resolve It
To resolve this issue, confirm ownership and account access:- Check with your team to see if someone is already using Resend.
- Check to make sure you’re logged into the right account.
- If you still cannot locate the domain, contact Resend support and share the domain name so the team can help you recover access.
